The capital city can add one more race to its list when the Race To End Women’s Cancer kicks off at 7 a.m. Nov. 8.
The race, sponsored by the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, is scheduled for be part of an entire weekend of gynecologic awareness programs involving physicians, survivors and women battling gynecologic cancers. It also includes a 5K. All events aim to raise money to support GCF programs that provide
research for gynecologic cancer, promote public awareness of the disease, and educate women about prevention, early detection and proper post-diagnosis treatments.
The course winds through downtown Washington, starting and finishing at 14th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue.
